Boys and girls ages 8-13 are invited to compete for the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to New York City at the free Jr. NBA Skills Challenge presented by Verizon event on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the UW Health Sports Factory, 305 S. Madison St., Rockford. The program provides youth the opportunity to showcase their fitness through dribbling, shooting, and passing skills competition; boys and girls will compete in separate divisions. A copy of each participant’s birth certificate is required to compete; age is determined as of June 30, 2017.

Pre-registration is required by January 19, 2018, and may be done by calling the Youth Sports office at 815-962-7469 or in person with Customer Service at the UW Health Sports Factory, 305 S. Madison St., Rockford. Early registration is encouraged, as space is limited; registration will close prior to January 19 if capacity has been reached earlier. The event is one of the many free activities offered by the Rockford Park District.
