Experience a cornucopia of science Thanksgiving Weekend at Discovery Center

ROCKFORD, Ill –– Bring the family and kick off the holiday season with extraordinary demonstrations and fun arts and crafts at Discovery Center. Experiment with color, light and nanoscience during Thanksgiving Weekend, November 24 and 25th.
The Museum will be closed Thanksgiving Day and resume regular hours on Friday, November 24. Science and art activities will be available from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm both Friday and Saturday and are included with Discovery Center general admission.

Black Light Friday

Find out what puts the “glow” in neon colors and wow your senses with the fabulous fluorescence. Gain an understanding of the electromagnetic spectrum and experiment with light and color.
